Dear Colleagues,

In face of a challenge year for the health all around our country and world, cancer treatment multidisciplinary approach become even more important. Therefore, follow a big amount and speed of information currently established in oncology, suit an assignment increasingly hard and complex.

In this context, the Sociedade Brasileira de Oncologia Clínica (SBOC), the Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Oncológica (SBCO) and the Sociedade Brasileira de Radioterapia (SBRT) reaffirm their multidisciplinary commitment undertaking the III Semana Brasileira da Oncologia. The agenda was developed with priority objective to address subjects that impact oncology’s daily practice, as well as seeking the highest quality oncology assistance for the patients. The meeting held with innovative activities and, once again, with a participation of expert’s professionals, from Brazil and the worldwide.

In order to all can evaluate the abstracts presented in III Semana Brasileira da Oncologia, that count more than 300 abstracts presented, we set up this special BJO’s (Brazilian Journal of Oncology) issue.

We are grateful for the participation of all professionals from all regions of Brazil who were present at the III Semana Brasileira da Oncologia. We are certain that this great event has been contributing more and more to the strengthening of Brazilian Oncology.
